Why is this something I keep coming back to?
It seems to me, that there has never been a really accessible way to manage chronic illness.
You've got lots of things to juggle:
- Taking your medication on time, every day
- Eating mostly right
- Managing pain & work
- Making sure you fill your prescription
- Communicating when your illness impacts your ability to be "normal"
- Anxiety about worsening conditions
On top of all our this, your energy and wallet are depleted faster than someone who doesn't have your condition.
We have apps for everything else, but there hasn't been a breakout app for illness management.
Looking at the [Bearable](https://bearable.app/the-origins-of-the-bearable-app/) app - they cover a lot of this. But I do think I need to take a stab and launch something here.
I personally struggle / deal with health conditions every day.
Externalising your symptoms, thoughts and routine somewhere are an important part of the day-to-day management of an illness.
That's the key. No more forgetting symptoms when you go to the doctor, no more needing to remember and calculate when the next blood test is. Just a management layer for your health.
