Sometimes saying that "I need a PSP to build this thing" is a crutch to avoid the real problem.
The real problem is not having a product.
This is the monetisation reality:
| Product Type | PSP | Blocker |
| ----------------------------------- | ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Mobile App | App Store / Play Store | None |
| B2B SaaS | Invoices / Bank Account | None - can issue invoices and manage manually |
| B2C / ProSomer Apps / SMME B2B SaaS | Stripe | Need a EU or US entity and bank account for Stripe, but can also use a MoR |
Not having Stripe isn't a blocker. MoR is possible if you have a working product.
There is only one segment that needs a proper external PSP. Apps don't. Traditional B2B SaaS doesn't.
If most of your project ideas are web based B2C products or SaaS, and you want to experiment fast - then perhaps you _do_ need a Stripe account. However, if you're building one or two things for an extended (> 3 months) period of time - I'd say that saying that you can't win because you don't have a PSP is an excuse.
